Object description:

The chromolithograph represents a painted ceiling decoration in Renaissance style, as part of the print series titled Deutsches Maler-Journal. The compilation of high quality chromolithographs and heliotypes was published in more booklets between 1877 and 1894. The ornamental prints depicting different details of ceilings, staircases, wall decorations, painted wood- and marble-like surfaces to serve as historic examples for the architects, the painters, the sculptors, the craftsmen, as well as for the professors and students of the art and industrial education.
