Αυτή η φωτογραφία λήφθηκε στο Διεθνές Αεροδρόμιο Λευκωσίας (σήμερα βρίσκεται εντός της Νεκρής Ζώνης στη Λευκωσία και λειτουργεί ως στρατιωτικό αεροδρόμιο) και δείχνει ένα από τα αεροπλάνα της BEA. Στις 24 Σεπτεμβρίου του 1947, η BEA βοήθησε στη διαμόρφωση των Κυπριακών Αερογραμμών στο νησί, σε συνεργασία με την κυβέρνηση της Κύπρου και των τοπικών ιδιωτικών συμφερόντων. Ιδιωτική Συλλογή του Der Αvedissian-Hawley. - This picture was taken in the Nicosia International Airport (today located within the Nicosia Buffer Zone and acts as a military airport) and it shows one of BEA’s airplanes. On 24 September 1947, BEA assisted in the formation of Cyprus Airways on the island of Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean in co-operation with the Government of Cyprus and local private interests.
