Stereoscopic photographic camera for glass plates (17 x 8. 5 cm). Diaphragm coulissant type inside with 3 positions. Double fixed lens, unbranded. Lens: 2 cm diameter. Lens cap is included.
A camera for taking stereoscopic photographs, that is, two photographs of the same image from two slightly different angles, imitating the gaze of the human eyes. The resulting image was seen through a stereoscopic view-finder to recreate it in three dimensions. The first stereoscopic camera dates from 1856.
