Object description:
Camera laboratory. Dubroni. Photographie de poche. Camera for wet-plate collodion process. Plates format: 5 x 5 cm for a round picture about 4 cm diameter. Lens: Petzval, made by Darlot f = 3. 7 / 60mm. It includes laboratory.
The first known laboratory camera was Dubroni Le Photographe de Poche (France 1860). This camera makes it possible to develop the photograph immediately after it had been taken. A more modern model of this kind would be the Polaroid.
