Newton's Wheel
Object description:
Newton's Wheel. An apparatus conceived by Isaac Newton to create white light using the colours of the spectrum. It consisted of a circular support with bands from the centre to the exterior of the colours of the rainbow. When it was rotated white colour appeared due to the persistence of vision that ended up superimposing all of the colours in the retina.
