Object description:

Lumière Cinématographe. Format: 35 mm. Original lens 2. 3 cm diameter x 3 cm long. Apparatus for projecting, take views and make copies. All accessories are originals. Varnished device. Builder J. Carpentie. Patented on February 13, 1895 by the brothers August and Louis Lumière, the Cinématographe Lumière was a very reliable apparatus in comparison to similar inventions by others, and it was used to record and project photographic images in movement at a speed of 16 a second.
